Dear Fergus,
It’s not often that I regard training is a matter of life and death, but that’s how I feel after undergoing First Aid training with Alice recently.
This course has changed me from being someone fearful of coming upon an accident, to now understanding what needs to be done, by whom, within a specific timeframe.
Alice demystified First Aid for me. In a completely unintimidating way, she showed me the potential I have to save someone’s life. Its training I hope never to use, but am really glad I undertook.
What really impressed me was not just the knowledge Alice clearly possesses, but the easy manner in which she communicates. Her explanations were clear, so that when Alice demonstrated first aid techniques, I understood their purpose and could replicate them much more easily that I anticipated. Not only that, but I enjoyed the course too.
An unexpected benefit for me came from the information tips Alice gave during the session. As the main contact person for elderly parents, I hadn’t appreciated the importance of having a list of medication available for paramedics in case of emergencies. This was one gap I put right the day after the course.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Responder Training to others. I sincerely hope that more people take your training courses and learn skills that truly impact on other people’s lives.
